The Laredo Detention Center is a tiny complex that accommodates 258 people with immigration troubles and is located within the city boundaries of Laredo, Texas. The center is a multi-level security detention camp with both male and female detainees. This facility can handle non-citizens seized at the border as well as those detected living in the country without legal paperwork.

Because of the government’s increased attention on immigration, private facilities such as the Laredo Detention Center have become popular places to house undocumented migrants. Texas Senate Bill 4 has made it simpler for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials to collaborate with local law enforcement in an effort to apprehend as many illegal immigrants as possible.
